In order to protect the Picos de Europa National Park, regulations have been established for access to the Covadonga Lakes to ensure the sustainability of this unique enclave. This plan regulates access on days of maximum influx.
The rest of the year can be accessed by private vehicle, without access restrictions.
Access to Covadonga is free all year round and can be reached both by public transport and by private vehicle without any limitations. During the regulated dates, a fleet of buses guarantees travel between Cangas de Onís, Covadonga and the lakes, making stops at the main points of interest along the route, including hotel and activity establishments.
